Terms of service
Last updated October 16, 2026
These terms apply to anyone who uses this website or signs in to the ServiceMain app. If your organization has a separate written agreement with ServiceMain, that agreement applies to your organization's use of the app, and these terms fill in anything it does not cover. Questions: [email protected].
Who may use the app
The app is for the organizations that subscribe to ServiceMain and the people they authorize. You may sign in only with an account your organization has set up for you, and only for your organization's work. Keep your sign-in to yourself and tell your organization's administrator if you think someone else has used it.
Your organization's information
Information your organization puts into ServiceMain belongs to your organization. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. Your organization is responsible for having the right to collect the information it enters, including from program participants, and for keeping it accurate.
The demo
Our demonstration workspace is filled with made-up programs and people, and it is reset regularly. Do not enter real personal information into it; anything entered there may be shown to others and is removed at the next reset.
Acceptable use
Do not use ServiceMain to break the law or anyone's rights; do not try to get into accounts, data or parts of the service you are not allowed to use; do not upload anything harmful, such as viruses; and do not overload the service or interfere with other people's use of it.
The service
We work to keep ServiceMain available, secure and backed up, and we improve it over time, so features may change. We may need to pause it for maintenance, and things outside our control can interrupt it. Except as promised in a written agreement with your organization, the service is provided "as is", without other promises or warranties, to the extent the law allows. When ServiceMain runs in your organization's own cloud account, your organization keeps that account in good standing and pays its cloud provider directly; access we need to maintain it is set out in your agreement.
Responsibility
To the extent the law allows, ServiceMain is not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or lost data) from using or being unable to use the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount your organization paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending use
Your organization can remove your access at any time. We may suspend access that breaks these terms or puts the service or other customers at risk. When an organization stops using ServiceMain, its information is returned or deleted as agreed with it.
Changes and law
If these terms change, we will post the new version here with a new date. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
